ABOUT DIGITAL ENERGY JOURNAL

Digital Energy Journal helps you keep up to speed with new digital technologies which are rapidly changing the face of the upstream oil and gas industry, enabling many new discoveries of oil and gas, and viable production with low human, environmental and social risk.

We focus on new developments which are already adding value in the industry – and explain them so they are easy to understand. You will want to read our magazine and newsletters straight away, not add it to your pile of material you promise to read one day.

We provide a bimonthly magazine (on print and pdf), a biweekly e-mail newsletter and a free website news and archive service – and you can subscribe to our e-mail newsletter and pdf magazine free of charge.

Our magazine is supported by a comprehensive social network where you can get into direct contact with some of the people behind the technologies and engage in private (or public) discussion, and perhaps also make yourself available so other people can contact you.

our website serves as an encylopedia of digital technologies in the oil and gas industry - we have written about almost every company and technology in our magazine so you can learn about almost anything.

Karl Jeffery, editor, has been 12 years' experience editing maritime and oil and gas publications, and is also publisher of Tanker Operator magazine and Carbon Capture Journal, and founder and conference producer for Digital Ship magazine. He has a BEng in chemical engineering from the University of Nottingham.

David Bamford, consultant editor, is a non-executive director of Tullow Oil, and a past head of exploration and general manager West Africa for BP.

We cover all aspects of digital technology in upstream oil and gas - including exploration, drilling, and production - hardware, software and communications - purchasing, financial management and human resources - and of course, how to use the technology to get best results.

Important topics include seismic gathering and processing, geophysics, reservoir modelling and simulation, well planning, drilling and production automation, data management, data exchange standards, satellite communications, e-commerce and financial and risk modelling.

We have over 2,400 subscribers to our magazine, including IT and data managers, engineers, geoscientists, purchasing managers and technology developers.

If it sounds like we can make a contribution to you, please start your relationship with us by registering for our free e-mail newsletter, so we can keep you advised of new developments, relevant conferences and when our print magazine is available for download.
